The National Collegiate Taekwondo Association (NCTA) has been receiving many questions regarding the efforts of United States Collegiate Taekwondo (USCT) and its efforts to achieve National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) status for taekwondo.

The NCTA has spoken to the NCAA, which has indicated that any contact between USCT and NCAA has been informational only and that no formal application has been filed, nor any liason assigned to USCT to date.

The NCTA is the NGB for collegiate taekwondo in the United States, and as such its officers will will continue to work with WTF Secretary General Hoss Rafaty as well as their contacts at NCAA to pursue the recognition of Taekwondo as an emerging sport. The NCTA has open lines of communication to its many member schools and individuals, and invites questions or feedback at http://ncta-usa.com/contact/.
