One 3-person male female team and 3-person male team only were selected. Each team was asked to compete with one freestyle and one recognized poomsae in the final round.<\/p>\n<p>In the female poomsae division, the winners were\u00a0<b>Adalis &#8220;AJ&#8221; Munoz\u00a0<\/b>(University of Texas, Arlington),\u00a0<b>Christy Quintanilla\u00a0<\/b>(Johns Hopkins University), and\u00a0<b>Titania Thao\u00a0<\/b>(Gustavus Adolphus College). The male poomsae athletes selected were\u00a0<b>Kody Han\u00a0<\/b>(Foothill College),\u00a0<b>Edward Jeong\u00a0<\/b>(University of Bridgeport), and\u00a0<b>Sean Wallace\u00a0<\/b>(Santa Clara University).<\/p>\n<p>These 6 athletes will join the 12 athletes selected at the sparring team trials held on March 9 at the Ft. Worth Convention Center and journey to\u00a0<span class=\"m_-4941707077948384137gmail-il\">Naples<\/span>, Italy this July to compete at the Games. The female sparring athletes include\u00a0<b>Lizette Salas\u00a0<\/b>(-49kg, California State University, Northridge),\u00a0<b>Logan Weber\u00a0<\/b>(-53kg, Johnson County Community College),\u00a0<b>Starla Santana\u00a0<\/b>(-57kg, Miami Dade Community College),\u00a0<b>Amanda Bluford\u00a0<\/b>(-62kg, De Vry University),\u00a0<b>Cheyenne Lewis\u00a0<\/b>(-67kg, University of California, Berkeley), and\u00a0<b>Makayla Gorka\u00a0<\/b>(-73kg, University of Central Oklahoma).<\/p>\n<p>The male sparring athletes include\u00a0<b>Alejandro Bravo\u00a0<\/b>(-58kg, Miami Dade Community College),\u00a0<b>George El-Chemali\u00a0<\/b>(-63kg, University of Southern California),\u00a0<b>Charles Buset\u00a0<\/b>(-68kg, American Military University),\u00a0<b>Matthew Klein\u00a0<\/b>(-74kg, University of Dayton),\u00a0<b>Connor Wilson\u00a0<\/b>(-80kg, University of California, Los Angeles) and\u00a0<b>Abdul Rahman\u00a0<\/b>(-87kg, College of Southern Maryland).<\/p>\n<p>Said incoming NCTA president\u00a0<b>Dan Chuang<\/b>, &#8220;Congratulations to these athletes who have earned the right to represent their country on the largest collegiate stage in the world.
