Longtime NCTA supporters Dr. Leslie Cheung and Dr. Jun Yoon have
accepted their appointment as referees to officiate at the 8th WTF
World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships to be held in Bali, Indonesia,
on October 31 through November 3, 2013. All referees will receive 3
extra full days of training prior to the competition.

Arguably the most updated poomsae referee in the U.S., with the
experience of four WTF Poomsae International Referee Seminars and
International Referee Refresher Courses under his belt in just a mere
two years, Dr. Cheung is a seasoned poomsae judge that has officiated
in multiple local tournaments as well as the NCTA and USAT Team
Trials. He has graciously assisted gratis at a number of USAT poomsae
referee seminars.

As an 8th-Dan grandmaster, NCTA Referee Chair Dr. Jun Yoon is one of
the most celebrated taekwondo coaches and referees in the world. It
was only natural that he received the Best Referee award at the last
7th WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships in Tunja, Columbia.

NCTA would like to express its gratitude to both Dr. Cheung and Dr.
Yoon for their years of tireless service to NCTA, and wishes them the
best in representing the U.S. in Bali.
