2024 NCTA National Collegiate and High School Championships

The NCTA is pleased to announce that the 2024 National Collegiate Taekwondo Championships and the 2024 NCTA National High School Championships will take place on Apr. 12-14, 2024 in Berkeley, CA. The Championships will also host the team trials for the FISU America Games (i.e. the Pan American University Games) to be held in Cali, Columbia (Nov. 2024; if FISU America Games are not an option, another event will be determined for the team).

Online Registration
Your registration will not be considered complete until you have done BOTH of the following:
- Register and pay for the event on the USATKD Sport 80 website by FRIDAY, APR 5TH at 23:59 PT.
- Register for the event through the NCTA National Collegiate and High School Championships Registration Form by FRIDAY, APR 5TH at 23:59 MDT
All athletes and coaches must be USA Taekwondo Members, and coaches must pass a background check, Safesport Certification and associate coach certification. Athletes must also take the Safesport Training (instructions can be found in Sport80). Coaches should start background checks early as it can take over 2 weeks to be approved.
The 2024 National Collegiate Taekwondo Championships will be a USATKD 10.0 Ranked event (pending publication of 2024 USATKD points guidelines). The 2024 NCTA High School Championships and the 2024 FISU America Games Team Trials will not be a USATKD Ranked event.

Collegiate Academic Eligibility Information
Collegiate Championship Division: Athletes (undergraduate or graduate) who graduated from college in either 2023, or 2024, or who are half-time status or more between Jan. 10 and April 14, 2024, will be eligible. Athletes do not have to be US citizens. Competitors in the Collegiate Championship division must be born in 2006 or earlier.
Collegiate Team Trials Division: Athletes (undergraduate or graduate) who graduated from college in either 2023, or 2024, or who are half-time status or more between Jan. 10 and April 14, 2024, will be eligible. Athletes must be US citizens. Competitors in the Collegiate Team Trials Divisions must be born in the years 1999 through 2006.
All collegiate athletes in both the team trials and championship divisions MUST do one of the following to verify collegiate eligibility of half-time status or greater by March 29, 2024:
- Use parchment.com to send an official transcript and use the address nctaeligibility@gmail.com at the bottom of the form on that page, OR
- Check your school website for the option to have them send a transcript or proof of graduation directly to nctaeligibility@gmail.com, OR
- Email a clear photo or scan of the 2024 NCTA Collegiate Championships Eligibility Form, signed by your college registar, to nctaeligibility@gmail.com by March 29, 2024.
Failure to complete this step will result in an athlete not being allowed to compete. Please email nctaeligibility@gmail.com with any problems or concerns.
All collegiate athletes in the Team Trials Divison are recommended but not required to complete the FISU America Games eligibility form and email a clear photo or scan to nctaeligibility@gmail.com. Completing this form before the event makes less work for the athletes and staff, should they qualify for the team.
High School Divisions Academic Eligibility Information
High competitors in the High School Championship division must be born in the years 2005 through
2010 and be currently enrolled in high school.
High school athletes must verify High School student status via the 2024 NCTA High School Eligibility Form and Email a clear photo or nctaeligibility@gmail.com by March 29, 2024.
